Meet the Team
Psychotherapist and Founder
Lauren Farina, MSW, LCSW
Lauren is a psychotherapist, performance coach, and keynote speaker who uses a functional, integrative approach to support her clients’ performance, motivation and wellbeing. Lauren worked for several years as the Manager of the Employee Assistance Program for Loyola Health System in Chicago, where she developed her niche focus in supporting the high-performer personality. In 2019, Lauren founded Invited Psychotherapy and Coaching to help clients embody their highest potential by managing the anxiety, depression, and self- doubt that often plagues perfectionists, people pleasers, and high performers. She often jokes that she is obsessed with the science of human potential, and that passion is made manifest in her speaking, writing and clinical practice.

Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor
Gretchen Lewis, LCPC
Gretchen is passionate about helping people become more mindful and present. As a counselor, she helps clients heal from past experiences, to create space for growth and change. She also supports clients who "feel stuck" work on their true purpose and meaning in life. Whether or not you have had previous experience with therapy, it is Gretchen's goal to meet you where you are at this moment, and to work to build a collaborative treatment plan to help reach your unique goals. Her approach is strengths-based and is rooted in positive psychology; it integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, Adlerian and Gottman approaches. Gretchen's overall goal is for her clients to feel empowered and validated.

Clinical Mental Health Intern
Essence Scott, BA
Essence Scott is currently a Clinical Mental Health Student at Northwestern University. Throughout her education and work experiences with youth and families involved in the child protection system, she frequently heard the saying, “Trauma that is not transformed is transfer.” This realization sparked Essence's desire to support individuals in challenging times, and to grow her passion to promote wellness, growth, and healing. In her work with children, adolescents and families, Essence aims to provide a safe space for her clients to be unapologetically themselves, to gain autonomy, and to acquire tools to work through and manage their emotions. As a counselor in training, it is Essence's intention to use an integrative approach in her clinical work with her clients.
